Without an account
Study settings and aggregate activity are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They do not leave your device unless you choose to sign in.
When you sign in
Google authenticates you through Supabase Auth. HanziSpace receives your account identifier, email address, and basic profile details. It stores per-card answers, session identifiers, response time, and preferences in Supabase so your progress can sync. Database row-level security limits each account to its own study records.
Suggestions
Signed-in users can submit a card identifier, category, and message. Corrections are visible only to the submitter and site administrators. Feature ideas use your email application and are sent to the site’s monitored contact inbox only after you choose to send the draft; your email provider’s terms then apply. Do not include sensitive personal information.
Advertising and consent
Advertising is disabled by default. If advertising is enabled, the ad script loads only after the visitor actively consents in this browser. Availability may depend on regional consent requirements and the configured advertising vendors.
Retention and your choices
Anonymous browser data can be erased by clearing site data. Signed-in users can request export or deletion of their cloud data by contacting [email protected].
